Fruit cake recipe

Ingredients:
- 200 g dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, dried apricots, dried figs, etc.)
- 100 g walnuts
- 50 g almonds
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 100 g butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 lemon zest
- 1 packet vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Dry the dried fruits and cut them into small pieces. Chop the walnuts and almonds as well.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Bring the butter to room temperature and cream until soft. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the orange juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, and mix with a spatula.
- Fold in the chopped dried fruits and nuts with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 45-50 minutes.
- To check if the cake is done, insert a toothpick into the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- While still warm, you can dust it with powdered sugar or drizzle it with melted chocolate.
